I need constant stimuli to hold my attention. Seriously. I can’t even watch a full T.V. episode without doing something else simultaneously, usually involving another digital screen.

So, you can probably guess that I get bored really easily. And I am slammed with a cornucopia of blogs, websites, and other rich sources of juicy inspiration everyday. (read: NOT Facebook….. Sorry, third-cousin Jimmy and your 15 million pictures of your baby that we have seen everyday since it was born)

Here’s my go-to list of off-the-wall content that I rake through while simultaneously texting, coloring, writing, eating, bathing or a mix of the above. (Don’t pretend like you have never watched a movie and ate popcorn while in the bathtub. You know you’ve thought about it at least. No? Well, this is awkward…)

I love reading this chick’s stories about travelling. Brenna tells her stories without being terribly long-winded, and the content keeps me coming back for more. I’m always excited when I open her site and there’s a new article to read.

 My personal favorite is her narrative on discovering wanderlust. Brenna’s description about travel’s way of cyclical trip-spiration really resonated with me.

Basically, you meet other people who describe places you haven’t been to, thus inspiring you to travel more while travelling: Travelception.

Drew also has a degree in Econ, also left the USA after college to teach, also loves Asian culture, and also had no idea what he was doing when he opened his blog.

 I saw the similarities in our stories and thought “If a Ginger kid from Midwest-USA can have the confidence to open a blog without writing experience, why the hell can’t you?” Oh, and his blog is as real as it gets. The kid survives a deadly bus-crash while solo traveling in India and still keeps travelling.

 If you need a kick in the bum to remind you to be more adventurous, The Hungry Partier is where you should start.

I love any girl that can drop an F-bomb and still look classy. Do yourself a favor and go bookmark Liz’s blog.

She’s been all over the world, and isn’t afraid to tell you the good and bad about traveling. She’s also been blogging for the better half of a decade, so she knows how to tell a story.

I personally think her writing style is hilarious, but she’s also perfected the art of the photo-from-behind, travelling-white-girl-photo. That’s my jealous way of saying she takes stunning photos.

These two bloggers are the O.G.’s of solo travel. While not related, both Kate and Matt have robust websites full of useful information about pretty anywhere across the globe. I appreciated Kate’s honesty about dating while traveling, and Matt’s site always calms my nerves about budgeting my travel.

Without advice from Matt or Kate, I doubt I would have put on my big girl panties and made the journey to Japan.

Caitlyn is my spirit animal. Her Snapchat story (@gypsetgoddess) inspires me everyday to live a more loving life. This yoga goddess is not only one of the most bendy chicks I know, but she also travels frequently to do yoga around the world.

Her Instagram is full of jaw-dropping acro-yoga photos that will either make you want to immediately stop-drop-and-yoga or buy a ticket to visit whatever country she is currently in.

I love anything woman-positive. Us girls have a hard time collaborating at times, so I enjoy seeing groups of women together doing and being awesome!

One of the things that differentiates whoa travel from other blogs I follow is that they go the extra step to make travel notices well in advance. I like getting excited about where they will go next rather than having the mystery of not knowing the net chapter in a bloggers journey

I think every city should have a Cheap-o website. This collaborative effort pulls the city together in an interesting way, offering advice on money–saving clubbing, restaurant, shopping, and mini-cation trips around Tokyo.

Seriously. Every city needs one of these websites!

 Anyone that knows anything about me would probably say I’m “unconventional”. So is this blog. It was love at first sight. Ashley and I share a common home-town, and outlook on Japan.

She gave me hope to survive Nihon-land as I attempted to learn Japanese, and I followed her blog religiously. I was hooked after I found her advice about where to find deodorant in Japan
