Ankor Wat: Indescribable

It’s difficult to grasp the size of Ankor Wat until you have been there. Every pillar, tile, and conceivable area is beautifully sculpted, though years of rain, wind and sun have aged the stones and washed away most detail. I had an extremely hard time comprehending the amount of hours and sheer man-power it took to create such an amazing work of art, especially using only rudimentary tools. Ankor Wat is incredible.

I’m not sure any sort of description could do Ankor Wat justice, so I put together a photo essay to help describe its wonder.

I can’t express enough how impressed I was with Ankor Wat. I had pretty high expectations as it was, but the sheer amount of detail totally impressed me. Bucket List Check!
