Confession time: I’m still in Washington. I haven’t left yet. This place sucks you in with springtime smells and I just couldn’t bring myself to leave during the wonderful summer weather. There’s just so much left to explore here!
And though I know you aren’t nearly as obsessed with Instagram as I am (I hope not, anyway. It’s not healthy to look at a screen nearly as much as I do. Stop it.), but there are quite a few #pnw Instagram accounts that I’ve developed a recent infatuation with. From @pnwonderland to @pnwbabes, there’s also @missholldoll or @wanderwithjess. All of these accounts display the undeniable beauty that this area is filled with.
So I’ve taken full advantage. There are so many national/state parks to explore here, it’s no wonder I haven’t got much work done on this blog! I’ve been outside the whole time!!!
If you’ve never experienced hiking in Washington before, check out wta.org or alltrails.com to set you up right. There are thousands of different hikes in this area, and most have supreme views- the kind that leave you breathless and ready for your next adventure. I’m sure you will understand why I’ve spent my summer living in the mountains after seeing some of these photos!!
Here’s a few of my favorite photos from more recent expeditions in Baker-Snoqualimie National Park:
As you can see, I’ve been busy. My boyfriend and I have summited multiple mountains, hiked up to alpine lakes, and succeeded in “getting off the grid” for the summer. It’s been nothing short of glorious.
Here are some gorgeous photos from a recent camping trip along the Olympic Peninsula:
Ruby beach (the photos of with the pinnacle rocks) was by far my favorite trip along the Olympic Coast.
Lastly, I have been doing a lot of other outdoorsy stuff. Here’s some of my favorite photos from kayaking and surfing around the northwest:
Stay tuned: there’s way more where this came from!!!

what a lovely view you got there while exploring. I love kayaking and camping too. Wish I can visit Canada in the future.
